We now embark on the 2022 campaign competing again in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship with full focus going towards our new rider TJ Toms as Jordan Weaving steps back from racing to focus on his personal career but remains an an integral part of the team as rider coach. TJ is an exciting prospect and we look forward to the challenge ahead.
Mandy & Dave Williams
Mandy and Dave are the proud owners of the team and also chief cooks and bottle washers making sure all their racing family is well fed and watered throughout the season. They are both avid motorsport fans with a great passion for two-wheel racing. Over the last few years, the British Superbike paddock has become a second home whilst being involved in various sponsorship deals and therefore it was a natural progression to acquire their own race team in 2021. They are looking forward to competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship again this year with hopes of moving up to the British Superbike class in 2023.
Chris Sayle (Centre)
Chris is our Crew chief and data extraordinaire with a wealth of experience and success under his belt. Chris is from New Zealand and has traveled the world throughout his racing career with his most recent Championships being claimed in the British Superstock 1000 class in 2015 with Joshua Elliott and 2017 with Danny Buchan. Chris is at the heart of our team taking full control of all the technical aspects however we try not to leave him in charge of the coffee machine as he's a bit accident-prone.
Leslie Phillips (Left) & Karl Swann (Right)
Leslie is our senior mechanic who can regularly be spotted sporting a snazzy pair of sunglasses and is affectionately known as 'Grandad' as he is the oldest member in the team but probably fitter than all of us put together due to all the cycling he regularly undertakes. He has been involved in racing for many years and was part of the Morello racing outfit in 2020 where he was the dedicated mechanic to Danny Kent.
Karl joined the team in 2021. Like all of us he has a great passion for motorbikes and racing (and cakes and biscuits, we can rely on Karl not to let anything go to waste) Karl quickly learned the ropes and became a valued member of our team so we are very pleased he is returning for a second year.
Kevin is TJ's Dad and the biggest supporter of TJ throughout his racing career. He manages TJ's pit board (and no doubt many of his other needs too....) and we are pleased to welcome them both into our racing family.
TJ joins the team as our sole rider for the 2022 campaign. Having stepped up to the stock 1000 class last year TJ is now ready for a serious attack on the championship with the full support of everyone in the team behind him and we are excited to see what he can do. TJ previously competed in the Stock 600 class where he has shown much promise having finished in the top 10 of the championship in 2020 despite having missed half of the season and ended with two podium places at the last round. 2019 was also a strong year for TJ in the 600 class earning him 6th place in the championship having scored points in every round.
Jordan is from South Africa and has had a long career in racing with two British championships to his name. Jordon was our pilot in 2021 and despite a season that improved round on round resulting in a 2nd place finish at the last race being pipped to the line by just 0.043 seconds Jordan has finally decided to hang up his leathers for good and focus on his personal working career. However, we are delighted he remains within our racing family as rider coach as he has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer. In Jordan's words, 'it is guttering' that he isn't racing this year but we are happy he will still be a familiar face and that we'll still have to stock up on the salt and vinegar pringles for him.
The 2015 Moto 3 World A champion needs no introduction and whilst he has his own campaign competing with Hawk Racing in the British Superbike championship he is a regular face within our team. Danny met Dave and Mandy back in 2019 forged a strong sponsorship deal and have been firm friends ever since. Danny is a promotor for Platformhire.co.uk and we are very lucky to have his contribution as a rider coach as his knowledge and experience is invaluable.
Media Manager & Photographer
Jade looks after all our social media platforms and produces our race reports. We are also extremely fortunate as we get to benefit from her talents as an exceptional photographer. Jade is very busy within the paddock on race weekends as she also looks after all the media requirements for RS Racing and Team City Lifting but she is always a welcome face whenever she spends time with our team along with her Dad, Robert.
